LIFESTYLE COUNSELLING
& OTHER ELEMENTS

Working towards balance in life is part of healing and thriving. What creates that balance is different for everyone, and through the therapeutic process, the unique combinations appropriate for each individual is established. It is through the therapeutic process that it is determined what other elements to the treatment plan need to be included, such as physical therapies, exercise plans, hydrotherapy, supplements and other remedies.

ABOUT MYSELF

I am a qualified naturopath, registered with the Allied Health Professions Council of SA (AHPCSA). I have a BSc(CompHealthSc) and a B Complementary Medicine (Naturopathy), both full-time degrees from the University of the Western Cape, together making up a total of 5 years study.

I have been in private practice for the last 16 years.

I have been a guest lecturer, external examiner and moderator for naturopathy at the School of Natural Medicine, University of the Western Cape.

I have served as a member of the Professional Board of Homeopaths, Naturopaths and Phytotherapists (PBHNP) for the Allied Health Professions Council of SA (AHPCSA).

I am a researcher with the Centre for African Studies, University of Cape Town.

Before becoming a naturopath, I was a high school teacher.

I have experienced living proof of naturopathic principles through watching the healing process unfold in the patients of my practice, my own health experience and that of many of my family and friends. A constant source of inspiration for me in the course of my work are my patients, my two children, aged 28 and 24 years, and my husband of 32 years.
